About Us

The Guys and Gals of the 2019 Strawberry Festival Committee

The Village of Leonard Summer Festival Committee was formed to enhance the experience of the well established Strawberry Festival by adding a variety of activities and events to the firefighters strawberry sundae sales.

This volunteer group works year around to raise money through pot-lucks, charity poker, fund raising and donations.

Their success has enabled the festival attendees to enjoy multiple free activities in a family-friendly affordable atmosphere. Former residents attend and rekindle friendships and new residents meet their neighbors over strawberry sundaes prepared by the Addison Fire Department members and volunteers.  The third Saturday in July every year has marked this delicious tradition which includes a variety of activities including a craft show, car show and  parade at noon! Every year the committee works hard to bring the community new activities and variety while supporting our local businesses.

The committee meets the first Monday of the month at Rowland Hall in downtown Leonard.
